We ask what your users ask
Questions like "best AI resume builder" or "alternatives to Canva". They never mention your app, so the answers aren't biased.
People now ask AI which app to use. If it never mentions yours, those users go to a competitor and never show up in your analytics. We ask ChatGPT, Gemini, Claude and Perplexity the questions your future users ask, then show you who they recommend: you, or your competitors.
Search used to give people ten links. Now AI often gives them three names. Here's how we find out if yours is one of them.

Track your score as you make changes.
It measures how often AI assistants recommend your app when people ask for apps in your category. We ask ChatGPT, Gemini, Claude and Perplexity the questions real users ask, record every product they name, and give you a score from 0 to 100, your top competitors and the websites the assistants cite.
There are many reasons: the product, the positioning, or simply not being where people look. A growing one is AI. People now ask ChatGPT or Perplexity which app to use, and if the answer never names you, those users go to a competitor without ever reaching your site. The free check shows whether AI recommends you, who it picks instead, and which websites it trusts, so you know where to show up.
Close, not identical. We use each assistant's official API with web search turned on, which is the closest you can get to the consumer apps. Personalization, memory and model updates mean individual users can see different answers. That's why we report how often you're mentioned instead of a single yes or no.
AI answers vary even for the same question. The full report asks every question twice per assistant to smooth that out, and monitoring re-checks with the same questions every week so changes are meaningful.
No, and you should be wary of anyone who does. What we can do is measure where you stand, show which sources the assistants rely on, and help you get onto them. Monitoring then shows whether it's working.
We send your results and, if you buy, your report and receipts. We don't sell it or add you to a newsletter.
No. Substitutr is independent. We pay for API access like any other developer.
